TOGETHER FOR GREEN ENERGY TRANSITION

The City of Karlovac (Croatia) together with partners from Poland (University of Szczecin), Denmark (Brønderslev Municipality), Belgium (European Geothermal Energy Council) and Croatia (GeotermiKA Ltd.) invite you for the second time to participate in a special session organized as part of the European Week Regions and Cities. This year’s event will take place in Brussels on October 10, at 11.30.
During the workshop entitled „Together for green energy transition: Good practices for sustainable and resilient energy systems” we will learn how crucial the efficient use of renewable energy sources is for the future of Europe.
Achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change requires accelerating the widespread deployment of clean (climate-neutral) fuels, inter alia, in mobility and transport. While the technologies for the production, supply and use of clean fuels are proven and well known, the administrative processes of public authorities to support, plan and implement the necessary infrastructure at the regional and local municipal level are still insufficient and represent a bottleneck in the implementation of clean fuels.
It is also vital to streamline and harmonize processes to not only make them more efficient, but also to ensure that best practices are transferable across Europe.
More efficient use of renewable energy sources requires creating an atmosphere of social acceptance for the introduced changes and creating demand for these solutions, which is why it is so important to conduct an international dialogue in this regard.
During the event, the University of Szczecin will present opportunities related to the development of the West Pomeranian Hydrogen Valley. The assumption is that the Hydrogen Valley is to accelerate the green energy transformation and achieve climate neutrality in Western Pomerania and Poland.
Registration will soon become official. Please accept our warm invitation to participate in the event.
